Early Christmas

Christmas came a bit early at our house this year. The picture is me getting the keys to my new Oleary Buick GMC Sierra from Dennis Dickenson at the dealership. I wasn’t particularly looking for a new ride but they offerred me such a great deal on a 2011 Sierra that I couldn’t pass it up. I am looking forward to getting some miles on it and comparing the performance with the new six speed transmission. Just wish I could hook the boat up and take it on a fishing trip. A big thank you to Dennis and Aubrey for another great dealership experience and my new ride.

January draw prize

Our next website draw will take place in early January. The winner will receive a certificate for an Interstate Deep Cycle battery that will be good at any Interstate dealer in New Brunswick. Not exactly as shown in the picture.  Prize is courtesy of Interstate Batteries of Canada.

I used to have recurring issues with loosing battery power during a tournament day. We could never figure out why but the problem stopped three years ago when I rigged my boat with Interstate Deep Cycles. As a tournament angler this has been invaluable to me because I can fish hard all day and not worry about running out of power.

Seeing as this was a bit longer of a drive than what we usually deal with we went down the night before. Up at four and the mandatory trip to Tim Horton’s for coffee and we were ready to go.

We met Captain Art Gaetan of Blue Shark Charters at the dock and boarded the 42’ Black Pearl for a trip out onto the Atlantic. Hurricane Hugo had just passed through two days before so, not wanting to take any chances, we popped some Gravol just in case...
